For this wedding, I got the chance to travel right in my own backyard – well, more specifically, the backyard of the groom’s parents! The property was in North Spokane, WA and had lush, verdant plant life, and impeccable landscaping. Special thanks to Michael’s family for having us there! What was especially unique about the venue was how Hannah and Michael said their “I do’s” on the top of a massive rock, as the wedding guests admired in awe from down below. Such a special, intimate way to tie the knot!
Hannah and Michael have the cutest little “how we met” story: Michael worked at the same place where Hannah was interning! As a photographer and graphic designer, she hit it off working and thriving creatively alongside him. So, naturally, once the internship was over, Michael took his shot and asked her out! Together they have gone on many adventures, whether it’s admiring dreamcatchers in gift shops or visiting sheepdogs on Vashon Island!
I loved the smaller, private feel of the venue. For the reception, the couple put out farm tables underneath some tents, adorning them with elegant garland and cranberry accents. Along with the lights strung about, the place made me feel like I was front seat to a beautiful, once-in-a-lifetime spectacle. And thank you for the pashmina scarf you gave out as wedding favors! It’s basically the softest piece of fabric that I’ve ever owned! Everyone compliments me on that scarf and I always gush about how cool your wedding favors were!
Michael is so endearingly – I could just see in Hannah’s face that with him around, everything was at peace. It’s easy to see how his outgoing and lovable personality completely charmed Hannah the moment they met. Their interactions were so genuine and meaningful! His bear hugs and pecks on her cheek showed that Michael was thrilled that this girl was his, for life. I wish you the absolute best!
